To Everything, There is a Season
To Everything there is a season. And this season for some of us old timers we catch the chill in the air and our bones begin to ache in protest of the warm summer days being behind us. If it were not for the beauty of Autumn, the Fall Colors and the harvesting of fresh delectable garden vegetables that we are giving some warmth as they simmer on the stove, we would be a bit more unhappy about seeing the summer end. Some of us will hunker down and wait out the snow and ice that will soon blanket the ground at our stumbling feet. Others May still embrace the adventure that awaits those whose bodies still meet the challenges of the ski lifts and snow kissed mountainsides. But not all of us can keep up with those younger years and choose to run away for warmer climates until the snow clears and the sun stays out late again. but even most of those few are wanting to wait until after Thanksgiving so we can show we are thankful for thy bounty with our families and friends up here in New Hampshire. I choose to take my vacation during the cold winter months in the warmer climate at my age and then look forward to coming back home in the summer months to work in my yard and gardens, enjoy the beautiful land and climb the wonderful mountains of my beloved New Hampshire in our amazingly beautiful Spring, Summer and Fall.
